Welcome
Welcome to the 4th Biennial Heart Valve Biology and Tissue Engineering meeting! This year’s meeting will take place at the beautiful Sea Pines Resort in Harbour Town, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Following meetings in Florence (2004), Hilton Head (2006) and London (2008), the 4th Biennial Meeting will focus on recent advances in valve biology and the development of tissue engineered heart valve replacements. The program has been designed to reflect the diversity of challenges faced by biologists, bioengineers, material scientists, clinicians and regulators and the multidisciplinary approach that is required for successful tissue engineering of heart valves. The purpose is to provide a forum for presentation and discussion of cutting edge technology and recent advances in this field.
Who should attend?
Scientists, engineers, clinicians, mathematical modellers and representatives from pharmaceutical, cardiac device and venture capitalist companies.
